Who we are and what this story is about

Meet Linda:

When an author approached me about writing the Townsend Brown story, I was reluctant to encourage him. I had spent years fending off readers of The Philadelphia Experiment [footnote 1] who were convinced that Dad knew the secrets of antigravity, free energy and time travel. I did not want to fan those rumors nor did I want to relive my early years. My parents were loving and my childhood wonderful but who would believe that when they heard that I attended 48 different schools in twelve years? And how could I explain the large gaps in my knowledge of Dad’s work?

As it turned out, I needn’t have worried about that last point. More than one of the men Dad inspired over a forty year period would come forward to share their memories of him and of my mom, also. Two, in particular, would tell some startling stories of my parents’ clandestine activities. It seems that Mother served as a “code-runner” for the British Security Corporation during the early years of World War II; while my father’s espionage career continued all the way through the Cold War and into the era of global satellite surveillance.

My name is Linda Brown. THE GOOD-BYE MAN, written with Rose, is my love story for my father and mother and for some extraordinary companions, seen and unseen, along the way. It is a tale of heroes and heroines, romance, gallantry, loyalty, spies, secret missions, UFOs and mysterious organizations (but no disappearing ships). It is the story of my life.

Meet Rose:
My name is Rose. I am a freelance researcher, writer, and developmental editor with degrees in history, business, and higher education. Linda’s memoir, THE GOOD-BYE MAN tells of an adored daughter’s quest to return her father’s name to his rightful place in history and of the resulting unexpected, but informative encounters with agencies of the forces that shaped (and continue to shape) her own life.

Linda Brown, artist, hermit, and former confirmed Luddite is now the host of an the Quonset Hut, an international forum where acts of great intrigue, significance and synchronicity can be observed on a daily basis. This eclectic group of scientists, engineers, investigators and black ops has personnel provided invaluable research and source material during the writing of this story.
