Neil Armstrong - Godspeed to thee

An inspiration to many. I remember watching the landing and imagining what it would be like. Believing that this was the beginning of mankind's travel to other worlds, the reaching of new horizons and the expansion of mankind to the stars.

A mild mannered man who didn't like the limelight but instead enjoyed those thoughts and dreams that were in his head. A true self-proclaimed pocket protector geek who who owned a 300+ acre farm and raised cattle and crops. A man after my own heart.

Rest in peace and go forth knowing you are remembered from a thankful generation.

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .

Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God."

John Gillespie Mcgee
The thing about Inner Circles is that they are like Boxes - difficult to think outside of them.

He speaks on the Mike Oldfield album "Songs of distant Earth" to great effect...
