All forms of hemp, weak or strong in THC will have an awareness enhancing effect due to the therapeutic nature of cannabinoids on nerve and brain receptors. Cannabinoids will often block or remove damaging antibodies from around the cells and protect them from 'invasion'. This is why using cannabis for radiation/chemo patients is helpful in enhancing appetite and reducing pain. It is also my contention that the 'short term memory' loss is more the awareness of so much more input, that it takes a while to get used to it.

Part of the problem is the stigma of 'marijuana' in spite of all the evidence to demonstrate its use for thousands of years. Anthropomorphism blinds most studies because they fail to account for the fact that these were used for medicinal as well as industrial purposes long before the Marijuana Stamp Act, and the growing of hemp was encouraged to benefit the war effort even after the prohibition was beginning.

Besides, what gives government the authority to prohibit anything? It was certainly not by my consent, so it must be someone else.

Smoking it is not recommended for those with respiratory issues, but vaporizing or edibles will work as well if not better. My experience with edibles is that pain management is more enhanced with edibles than smoking or 'vaping'.

Fred, you have added some fantastic insight into this thread, thank you.

Rose I am thinking Fred explained why some hemp oils have a noticeable high. I feel smokers would actually be less apt to recognize it and those who have not smoked for sometime or at all, more apt for the high to register due to tolerance. I would think the non smoker would notice more, just not understand what they are experiencing.

One can build up to full dosage (we are talking 1% thc, your grandaddy`s cannabis) limiting the feeling of being high, build the tolerance slowly. Five year old girls take the oil so I really do not think there is much to be concerned for our parents other than employment drug tests.

Luis, try some yourself like Rose is going to do. Talk to your folks about it, let them know how it affects you. Maybe this will help alleviate any fears about being high. These parents of ours have probably been high out of their minds on pharmaceuticals, they cant really be that scared of a little thc can they?

I know the programming runs deep, guess I am hoping maybe Ill be able to read this thread to my mom and maybe she will listen to me once in her life. Look at the homework Ive done mom! Please and because I love you, try this. I posted my sisters reaction here already so I know what we are all up against.

Tell em Tabitha`s story. The two cats combined are still a bit behind regular feeding, normally they are bouncing off the walls to eat when I come home. Bowls were empty but most likely recently. Tabitha got a good 5 to 6 drops tonight, she does not mind taking the oil as opposed to the antibiotic, tastes grassy. Pretty got 4 drops in her bowl, I noticed a small poo in the box w/o blood.

I took 7-8 drops, feel fine. I could feel my left side where I have been having pain but it was not an issue. No more discoloration today, it is like there is something in there somewhere and when I exercise, it pierces something and I bleed a bit until my body heals the injury. Total conjecture but maybe a piece of the mesh implant from the hernia on my right side?

My back has been bothering me, especially when I twist in bed from my back to my side. or vice versa. Last night I twisted my back twice with minor pain, normally I might actually exclaim. I barely missed any sleep, this oil is fabulous with pain. My mouth healed very fast, it should still be killing me after having bit it in the same spot six times. No pain then, none now, looks almost healed.

So healing is hard to totally attribute to the oil, diet and exercise most certainly can affect it. The pain reduction however is telling me this stuff works, as is the appetite stimulation for Tabitha and the anti nausea effects I have seen. I am very hopeful that all the other positive anecdotes and science will continue to prove true.

Looking forward to hear what you guys buy and how you use it.

Kim, you and Mikado still considering?

Soloma,

Have you given any consideration to the fact that you may have a kidney stone?

As to my using any Cannabinoids, I doubt it very much. My job is prone to mandatory "pee" tests done by drawing names from a pool.

Mikado,

Stones have been considered though my most recent 48 or so sonogram photo layout of my kidneys and bladder was negative. As were my urine and blood tests, the doctor is now suggesting a urologist. I am putting that off for now, supplements are being taken to support my prostate.

I myself am to the point where I would question a test that can return a positive for something I did five days ago, while not working. What exactly do they care about if it returns a positive hit? Is it the thc and being psychoactively intoxicated and if so would they consider new science and information and a strain that does not contain much if any at all of thc?

Tough situation for lots of people, the government certainly has not had our best interests in mind.

FB, I got an answer from Bluebird yesterday.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your e-mail. We've shipped to the UK successfully, however just to be sure I'd recommend that you take a look into your local laws/tarrifs and ensure they can receive Hemp Oil.

All the best,

I got permission from the author to cross post this:
When you've been using the stuff for a few decades it's easy to forget the wonder of discovery..

Hey everyone,
So I'm back in Nimbin now, (have been since Febuary) and four days ago, I bought a two foot tall hookah, and ten grams of Nimbin's finest to burn in it. I've been almost continually stoned (to varying degrees) ever since.

My point is, that I've realised that the reason for my disruptive behaviour here in the past, was literally the fact that I wasn't stoned, at the time. Over the four days that I've been stoned, I've noticed that I've become a much kinder, more compassionate, and more positive person. What I've been writing online, as well as my behaviour offline, has been more well received.

Marijuana is for me, as medicinal as it is for anyone else. There are some people around, who are able to experience life without a constant background level of fear; not necessarily huge, perhaps, but there nonetheless. To a large extent, that background fear is not there when I am sufficiently stoned, although it is there pretty much constantly when I am not.

This has made me realise just how arbitrary almost everything is, and that virtually everything we do that we consider so critically necessary, is in reality all just a game to keep us amused. The way that I know that, again, is by virtue of the fact that people who are sufficiently stoned, don't need any of it.

Sometimes when I'm sitting here at the hostel as well, I will hear the usual sort of childish drama going on. There is often some "he-said, she-said," and who currently hates who, and who is supposedly going to beat up who, etc etc. I've noticed that being sufficiently stoned, renders me immune to all of this. I simply view it as pointless to everyone concerned, and cease to care. I still value other people, but I've actually reached a point where that means primarily being interested in what *benefits* people, rather than said people beating each other up.

Another point that I wanted to make was, that Michael Ruppert committed suicide not long ago as most of you know. While I don't exactly have Ruppert's belief system, his level of despair is absolutely something I've experienced before. What I'm realising now, however, is that emotional response to anything is completely arbitrary. I can go to Reddit, or here, or wherever, and read about the most horrific doom porn that you can possibly imagine; yet the thing is, that if I'm sufficiently stoned, I'm just not likely to care all that much.

Yes, I can know about the mass animal die offs, and the environment in general collapsing, and the American government being run by mass-murdering psychopaths, etc etc etc, but I find that when I am sufficiently stoned, it just all goes away. I'm able to relate positively with the people around me, and they with me; we get our needs met, and contrary to what Ruppert apparently thought, the world actually keeps on turning.

I'd like to encourage everyone here who is willing, to start smoking a minimum of probably 1.5 grams of marijuana a day. With this hookah, I can make a single standard cone last for close to 45 minutes, and said hookah also has two additional pipes, allowing other people to smoke as well. As a result of this, I am able to become exceptionally stoned, and maintain that state for extended periods of time, while using a minimal amount of actual bud.

While in this state, I've been able to realise just how much better life can be, if we simply stop panicking about numerous things which we previously thought were important. At this point, my priority is to smoke 2-3 bowls a day. I find that the rest seems to take care of itself.

My step dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer a few weeks ago. Given 18 months and last Xmas he asked me to get him something, along these lines. I wonder if he naturally in search of meds. He is not exactly a pot head, ex guardsman and liked his pop.

Incidentally another friend has breast cancer down.

On FB's post it is getting the balance (dose) correct. After all it is a mild tranquiliser hence the epilepsy herb.

Each to there own I guess.

No the conversation was only seconds while my mum was cooking Xmas lunch. He was not clear.

It is in all his bones and he has no will to fight and that is not a good combo. I had that on my mind over Xmas. The diagnosis was exactly as I thought at the time.

Wishing everyone and their families happiness and health.

Depending on laws Wags, no reason your father could not benefit from the oil. No idea if it will help his cancer but it certainly sounds painful. I know for sure it will help that, his quality life I am sure would improve. Nothing to lose, it is certainly priced right for what it could potentially do.

Once I again I encourage people to share if they actually decide to try the oil.

Well, if I were him ('cos bone cancer is one of the more painful ones, and they'll give him the opiates extra early) if he wants to make the most of his remaining time, I'd DEFFO reccomend he do a couple of grams of apricot seeds (http://www.apricotshop.com/ for a UK supplier) a day ground up in summat real sweet, unless he is as hardcore as me, 'cos I'd chomp 'em down raw, which should stop the cancer physically expanding in his marrow pretty sharpish (couple of days) but like with antibiotics you gotta finish the course.

Plus I'd be looking at funding him some of that oil Soloma found. You could easily buy it for him, Wags, and then you'd know how well it works for when your turn comes...

But of course, most people prefer to let medical science take it's course. At least you know exactly when you are going to go when they tell you. They are remarkably good at predicting your remaining time nowadays... I remember James Prochowski was in remission until he showed his oncologist his alternative meds and they told him how dangerous they were for him, so he stopped taking them.
