Thought Experiments

Welcome to all. Here is where you traverse the rabbit hole and perhaps find yourself back in Kansas.

The only "paradox" which is "not allowed" here in our "consensual Reality" is the paradox that "paradoxes are not allowed". This means that any and all paradoxes are allowed except for the one paradox that states that "no paradoxes are allowed".

Q: What's a paradox??

Q: What was the famous matematician Gödel know for anyhow???

This is just a fun little excersise to get your mind wrapped around the term ABSTRACT...

Now; try viewing individual images at this website, and you will get the idea where I'm going with this.

Now I admit I started off with a puzzle on this thread and we are suppose to keep it simple. My point is that it will only be simple for a while and eventually you will have to begin thinking a bit strangely about what reality is all about.

So let's try the first term Electromagnetism

would some of you watch the above video and tell me if this is a good multimedia presentation on the phenomena of Electromagnetism?

I see PeeTee started your forum without you, Karen, with his Thought Experiments post. Maybe we should put him in the AP (advanced placement) science class.

Due to licensing agreements, viewing of the video The Mechanical Universe...and Beyond - Optics is restricted to network connections in the United States and Canada. Your connection appears to be based outside this area. If that is not the case, send a message to broadband@learner.org. Please include your machine's IP number or the external (internet side) IP number of your proxy server, if you are using one.

I'm sorry Arc, That will have to be something you take up with the media supplier. I'm telling you that it's worth setting it up. I had to buy te series decades ago. and I spend well over $1000.00 for the original VHS tape series. Now if you are set up right you can see it FREE. Thank you ever so much to the "Annenberg Foundation". Because of them I did learn well.

Trick Fox,

I hope I haven't offended you in any way, If so I was just having fun...You are entirely correct..

I really did mean David Bowie as an answer, but to explain why...well to much and not sure myself.
