I saw you post somewhere, can't remember which thread and rather than click on random topics just thought I would say hi, and hope all is well. Are you still in the NW?

Hello!
On my way out the door right now, but yes, I am still in the PNW, and getting back on track with my life.
I will be checking in here a bit more now.

Namaste, Fred
Cindy's canceer advanced so quickly and you were such a good partner to her then, in the ways you saw to her care during those few weeks. Her passing must have left you with a void the size of the Grand Canyon. I was so happy to read, in another thread that you have gotten to the other side and and finding life enjoyable again.
As I remember it, your hip problem didn't slow you down at all. Has it gotten much worse?

Hello Rose (by another name),
Birthday, Mothers Day, and soon a memory of Anniversary, but yes, I have learned to deal with it and move on. The love nor the pain go away. They just have a place in my life and I take it for what it is.
My hip is pretty bad. Dislocated a couple weeks back, but managed to get it back in place. Pain? Lots! Not as bad as kidney stones, and I've dealt with that about 4 or 5 times already. The hip is a bit better now, thank you.
My interests in life have not changed much, only my focus on new goals and knowledge. I find that I have more tolerance for very young children (I have a new neighbor with a toddler) than I do for adults who create drama in their lives and then want to share it with everyone. I'd rather take out the stress on the gun range than involve others in a 'pity party' that serves only a collective misery.
And of course I have my blog to write and annoy my progressive and socialist friends with my steadfast principles of Liberty and Justice, instead of 'equality and spread the wealth." It seems that so many have written on these forums about how they think those who make such revolutionary discoveries must 'give it away' for the best interests of society. As I recall, a man named Tesla took that path and we are still connected to a grid and paying for the benefit of electricity and all other energy sources.
Now I am going to go take a hot bath with sea salts and then check on the pasta sauce I started this morning. No, I'm not grillin' 'n' chillin' this Memorial Weekend. I am remembering those who have passed on, many whom we all owe a deep gratitude and reverence to, for the contributions they all made toward our freedom and serving the highest good of all.
Enjoy a safe and insightful Memorial Day!
