There is a problem with the story that fruitbat told. Are you sure you are using the word "mendacity" correctly? You used it once against me and from what I remember, I defended what I said since I believed the word to mean "lie" or the act of being mendacious. If one believes others lies even though they know the truth, it is referred to as "self-deception". Then there is prevarication which is someone who avoids telling the truth by changing the subject or performs misdirection to avoid telling the truth.

So, I am a bit confused but that is okay. I suppose that something is missing within the story, perhaps the driver claimed that he needed to get to the hospital and the riders discovered a little later that it was a lie. Just a supposition mind you.

PS: Kim tells me that fruitbat has written on the Token that he has been permanently banned from the HUT. That is being mendacious. He has not been banned but perhaps his propensity to use Proxy servers or his server, which is known to host spammers for "spamhaus" will block the IP's from his server at times, has rotated his IP. I did at one time block some IP's from the London area (I won't give out his actual location) for they were registering here and posting ads.

I have checked the log. Owing to the fact that fruitbat posted yesterday, that would indicate that he was NOT banned. The only IP banned yesterday was 64.134.224.63 which is located in the United States. It had repeated attempts to register.

Among estranged friends - or from simple Human Decency - if Regret can be understood as sorrow over the consequences and Remorse as a haunting over the deeds, then Repentance can be seen as the contrition necessary to heal a broken relationship.

All of which require Honesty. But require it in increasing doses and incremental attitudes.

Problem with many people – starting with me – is that Regret is sometimes confused, as in mixed up, with Remorse and Repentance. This in turn, mixes up the concept of Honesty, which is a layered concept and not of just one dimension, whereby a position of “If I Regret then I was Honest and then I have Nothing Else to do” is the answer to all problems, leaving to the Other the responsibility of a “follow-up” on one’s previous Honest position of “regretting” having caused injury of offense, an initiative which, if not thus taken up by Him, automatically cleanses ones faults given the fact that the Other now displayed “lack of honesty” by refusing to acknowledge my “honest regret”.

I came to call “microwave morals” to this fast shallowness, as it is designed to both exempt responsibility and assist one in “mightier than thou” high grounds, all of it devoid of true substance.

I did not notice that observation about by 'vowels'. It does however highlight the imperfection of forum posts. Tolerance of different forms of expression is kind of a must. This lies at the heart of many of these things.

I dimly remember a similar message but it was as Mikado said and was just a random event and not part of any conspiracy. I had assumed based on both reports (Mikado and FB) that this was the case. Well it seems the most rational, but I am not exactly objective!

I have been somewhat surprised that this IP issue is still live. I can appreciate the sentiment behind the strange security and non update of Java. I know that FB does this for reasons that predate any association with these sites. On that point he is innocent, on the banning he is in error. Well my observation from the 'birdcatch seat' over IP.

Exactly wags. When Kim told me what he posted on the Token and she asked me I replied that I had not. I checked and found that his server has been known to allow spammers to come through. I immediately told him he wasn't banned. If he were truly an honorable person, he would have answered the email and not post it on the Token and make a big deal out of it. I believe he "wants" to be banned so that he can wield that banner.

Linda has used IP's that have been blocked. I did so in an attempt to make her move on and shut up. She shut's up...I shut up which means, since she appears to be very thick, that if she doesn't post about me or mine, which includes those on the HUT, then there would be no rebuttals. However, her membership is here, she is coming on public WiFi from different places and what does she do? She lifts posts to criticize on a forum where she has deactivated members If she truly would come on here to talk and not be vitriolic as she is on the Token, I would unblock her home IP. But that ain't a happenin'. She is the scorpion on the frogs back.

So there you have it as to IP's being blocked.

On the front page are emails that anyone can use and if an IP is blocked and it cannot be viewed, there are other ways to get to the front page and get the email if one truly wishes to come here.

My goodness no. I have talked to a good many on here by phone, email and PM. I have met quite a few in person on multiple occurrences.

I truly, if given the opportunity, would have no problem in meeting fruitbat but I believe I would not do a phone call at this time.

Has he ever talked to Linda on the phone?
