Think about it. If I were a plant, I'd be prying into all sorts of corners, to see what I could learn. And I certainly would have made a point to accept Mikado's invitation to attend his demonstration and made sure to have my spy camera and invisible writing kit in hand.

But wouldn't you be tempted to attend this mysterious conference, if only to find out what it's about? Heck, it's going to be close enough that Mikado can always turn around and come home immediately if the whole thing is a bust.

T'was but a jest.
A rose been a plant .

They wouldn't ask a "silly hobbit" to attend.
More fool them.

I don't have Linda's tongue. I have Rusty's nose in my ear every chance he gets, but that's a different story.

I thought so, but given the recent hostilities...

The conference went quite well. Met quite a few individuals.

Unfortunately, the first order upon my arrival was to sign an NDA ( Non Disclosure Agreement ). These individuals are serious. I read the document and looked for where the "teeth" were and the venue was the United States since the attendants were from all over. I decided to sign it if not out of curiosity then out of the sense of wanting to meet who the hell invited me or recommended me for invitation.

I will be posting a few pictures, those that I can and I asked which ones I could do but unfortunately, none from in the meeting hall. The only photo I can present of that is from the outside.

I will let Linda on her forum fill everyone in on what occurred since she claimed that "you never know who was going to show up". I will relay a little about what certain attendees had to say about her.

Till the weekend,

Mikado

Wonderful news, hopefully it was a welcome respite away from normal life!

It was David, it was good to talk openly with other individuals in regard to not only my work but some of what they are doing.

I took along with me the Mark I and the Mark III Gravitors and I did display them but only after my comfort levels were raised and the NDA helped.

I will be posting photos of both devices. I have decided to at least put to rest the prattle from a ship's wake as to proof of what I have been doing and part of that decision to post them was helped by those at the conference. A photo is just a photo, as how it was put to me. It doesn't mean I have to give a full detail explanation of construction etc.

I think they are correct and I will take that step.

Excellent,
And I can remember your reluctance to build the first one.
I think I said something along the lines of "just go and build it , will You"
And why not?

Very excited to see your results, Mikado, forgive me if I live vicariously through your experiments!LOL!

I wish I had the know how, time and finances to help out in some way. Exciting times indeed!

I have signed NDAs before for collaborative writing efforts, it a standard anymore it seems for such open sourcing to grow from...but slowly and with great caution to prevent the wrong eyes from seeing the process.

Looking forward to what you have to share!
Cheers!
